Suzuki has expanded its 800cc platform with the launch of the GSX-8T and GSX-8TT, two new models that draw on the brand’s historic styling cues while offering modern engineering and rider-focused technology.
The GSX-8T takes inspiration from 1960s and 1970s machines like the T500, while the 8TT adds a faired design influenced by race bikes such as the Yoshimura GS1000.
Both bikes are powered by Suzuki’s 776cc parallel twin engine with a 270° crankshaft, delivering 82.9PS at 8500rpm and 78Nm of torque at 6800rpm.
The engine is mounted in a twin-spar steel frame with aluminium swingarm and supported by KYB suspension. Each model features a distinct design, including new seats, handlebars with bar-end mirrors, and LED lighting.
The 8TT includes a cowling reminiscent of 1970s racing bikes and a lower fairing for a sportier aesthetic.
The styling was developed by design teams in Italy and Japan, with brushed silver radiator shrouds for the 8T and black for the 8TT. The 8TT also adds coloured decals and screen protection.
Circular mirrors and polished aluminium stays were created to preserve a low-profile retro look while ensuring rear visibility.
A full electronics package includes traction control, multiple power modes, a bi-directional quickshifter and a colour TFT screen.
Riders can also access features like low RPM assist, USB-C charging, and fast-start battery technology. A 3-year warranty is standard, with up to 7 years’ coverage available through authorised servicing.
The GSX-8T will be priced at £9,599, while the faired 8TT will retail at £9,999. Both are expected to arrive in UK dealerships in the coming weeks.
