Picasso Engineering’s OMT 450C flat track motorcycle has won the Special Award at the 2025 Heveningham Concours, marking a successful UK debut for the Swiss firm’s new carbon fibre racer.
Unveiled for the first time at the Suffolk-based concours event, the OMT 450C impressed judges with its unconventional full carbon chassis, developed specifically for flat track racing.
Unlike traditional aluminium-framed bikes, the Picasso model uses composite materials to achieve a lightweight but highly tuned platform optimised for dirt oval performance.
“This is a huge honour for all of us,” said company founder and CEO Stefano Picasso. “We built this bike with a singular vision: to challenge convention and demonstrate what can be done when you start from zero with no compromises. Flat track racing leaves no room to hide. It’s raw, it’s real, and it’s the perfect proving ground for what we believe in.”
The award highlights growing interest in the brand ahead of its upcoming debut in the FIM Flat Track World Championship.
Picasso Engineering will enter races at Mariánské Lázně in the Czech Republic and Debrecen in Hungary this year, before launching a full-season campaign in 2026.
Powered by a modified Honda CRF 450 engine, the OMT 450C is the result of in-house development focused on improving rider feedback, traction control and chassis response. The same design principles are expected to influence a road-legal version of the bike due for release in 2026.
